Every night on BBC2 - they play a preview loop for 2-3 hours. Clips of all the current BBC proud features. ( no adverts on the BBC unless it is advertising the BBC?).  My Dad who is 77 wakes up in a fuzzy frame of mind and keeps seeing the same thing Thomas Cromwell arguing with King Henry about invading France. He's now become a fan of Damien Lewis. He almost never misses this loop. It's become one of his favourite shows.
the BBC's budget for every hour on BBC2 is over £50,000 - so I see it as a slap on the face for viewers. The BBC have an archive with shows that have not been viewed in forty years. Surely they can fill this space with something mor interesting. It used to be CEEFAX before the clips so they have a history of short changing the fee payers.

one hour on BBC1 - costs over £135,000 - thats their super dooper station. £1.2 billion a year for bbc1.

I long for the day they wrap it up. bargain hunt in not worth £100,000 an episode? (Averaging out the cash).
