That would be a pragmatic, workable policy to slash crime figures radically and raise taxation revenue still further.

This could have me switching sides too EO
-drugs are daft but we shouldn't impose morals on others, people feck up their bodies whether we criminalise it or not

-but a lot of the victims of thieving to fund habits are in low income areas
-tax revenues up ( Colorado has found this, not much change either way in problem behaviours, but policing better focused and more tax )
-gives some young entrepreneurs a legitimate stepping stone in business

I think Brand though has come down on criminalising drug use, but has never said how it should be policed and penalised, just said it should be against the law but victims deserve treatment and compassion.
