Should i vote for the Liberal Democrats?

Surprised the Lib Dems are not higher in the polls than they are. Maybe because almost no one knows what each party actually stands for and most vote for the same party they always have.

What's the downside with the Lib Dems?

You could judge them on their record perhaps
-Con wanted to drop top rate tax back to 40%, due to Lib Dems it was dropped to 45% ( which is still actually 53.5% when the two types of NI are included ).
-Taking the personal allowance up to 10,600
-Failed on transferable vote and house of lords changes
-Could have caused constitutional crisis on tuition fees as CON has majority of seats in England which is the area affected, but compromised and the outcome is pretty good for poor students who are now more likely to go to uni, but party exposed as liars in eyes of most

Or you could judge them on the question of what type of voter you would you like to ask for help if you were lost and had to ask a stranger -
Con - probably in the jeep or on a horse, feck off you chav haw haw
Lab - probably walking to prayers or using a free bus pass, don't ask me, ask the council, praise be to Allah
LibDem - probably walking a mongrel dog and happy to chat

I've always voted Liberal or Lib-Dem. To me they are a voice of reason amid a sea of rabid tribalism. Go for it.
