Watched a tv show last night about a twenty stone man who got his stomach stapled. Took his stomach down to ten percent of its original size. Surgery is costly and dangerous. Why can't the NHS create voluntary fat camps. Lock the fatties in a cell with cable tv. Feed them 1200 calories a day for three months. (i said voluntary, no cruelty). I'm over weight myself and have tried doing this for a week at a time with good results. But its hard to keep up. I once lost ten pounds in a week eating pasta dishes. Surely its better than surgery.
I wonder where they get the money from. The whale in the paper today who cant control his appetite must spend a fortune on food and he certainly doesnt leave his house let alone work. These people never seem to need to go to food banks.
