Switching provider because current one is absolutely crap. Anybody recommend a reliable service? Not worried about deals or price, just want a firm that can provide a reliable and solid internet service that doesn`t lose the connection all the time. Guy in the pub said that Scottish Hydro are brilliant and fibre broadband is FREE for 2 years, with £20 a month line rental.

can't comment on scottish hydro, but I did have virgin fibre and it was sh1t, they throttled it at peak times and even off-peak it was no better than normal broadband; now with sky who never limit it and it perfectly reliable - I can download most movies in around 10-15 mins

No cable tv in this remote area so Virgin would be a no no anyway. Thanks Badger

I'm with Southern Electric (SSE) and very happy with the service they provide. I believe they are called Scottish Hydro in Scotland.

Zen Internet is the best by far. Fantastic customer service as well.
