Arsenal, for me

Play decent football, great manager (streets ahead of Fergie), debt-free (if I understand correctly), they own their stadium and every so often they win a trophy... yet I am Wst Ham through and through, even though I lived literally next door to Highbury from the age of 18 months  Shocked

Andy Mullins my prop at school played for the Quins for many years HH. As a hooker, having a tight head prop that was built like an oak tree was a blessing. He made me look better than I probably was.

remember him well Slippy. He's a director at Quins now I believe.

I like the Harlequins colours, reminds me of the Crazy Gang`s racing silks.

My team doesn't exist.

I'll stay with them.
Report themightymac April 30, 2015 12:34 AM BST
Yes, they used to be the Crazy Gang`s racing colours (Flanagan & Allen et al) worn by Oh So Risky. He didn`t win the Supreme but was just beat half a length by Royal Gait in the Champion Hurdle.
Report MisterBadger April 30, 2015 12:43 AM BST
ah, Oh So Risky, that's who I was thinking of... I had £200 on Royal Gait @ 7/2 after he won the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton  Love

Northampton Town - always look out for their results as my brother in law is a mad keen fan and I've seen them with him on a couple of occasions

Report History Maker April 30, 2015 6:05 PM BST
Stanford Cardinal.

or for real football, Colchester Utd.
Report Muntz Street April 30, 2015 6:13 PM BST
The Baggies, probably.

Though if my Dad had chosen to live elsewhere when he came out of the Army, it could have been . . .

Workington, or Workington Town (or both) or Oxford Utd - not that they were called that then -  or Hereford Utd, or Stafford Rangers or, maybe, Stoke.
Report themightymac April 30, 2015 6:42 PM BST
John Elway used to play for them. ..... Stanford that is, not Colchester Wink

Rapid Vienna. Wouldn't have to replace my Yeovil Town scarf that way. Also an enjoyable walk to the stadium past the ferris wheel from The Third Man.
