Masters - no point watching day 4, tournament already over

Snooker - tonight's session over by 7.30pm with only two frames played in each match. Of today's four final sessions, which could have seen 36 frames played in total, there were 11 - 2, 2, 2 and 5. Four ridiculously one sided matches

Boxing - yet another Klitschko borefest at the weekend. Jab your way to another thrilling points win you big lump. Boxing needs you.

Boxing again - already bored at the laughable Mayweather Pacquiao fight. Should have happened 5 years ago and only didn't as they were too scared to put their records and their 'legacy' on the line. Now they both realise time has almost caught them up and they are in like a rat up a drainpipe to hoover up the cash before everyone loses interest. Can you imagine Federer and Nadal avoiding each other until retirement time and then getting it on hurriedly to cash in on the hype that should have brought them together years before. Or Coe and Ovett? Or Prost and Senna? Or any other great sporting rivalry?

Football - Last Wednesday's two Champions League ties both finished 1-0 after two legs. 6 hours of football, 2 goals. The crème de la crème. Ballocks.

We were spoilt by that incredible, unmatchable last day of the six nations but we're paying the price since then. Will sport ever be good again?

Horse Racing has had some illustrious times in the modern era ,  Kauto Star / Denman and Frankel as good as it gets.
The Premier League is a soap opera style bore fest .
I gave up on Rugby League when teams got NFL style suffixes.

Agree on the Boxing , the Pac Man was a serious threat 4 or 5 years ago .....never happened.
He will spend 12 rounds chasing and being out boxed  ,points victory for Mayweather , oppositon no doubt to claim they were robbedzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Thank goodness for Biathlon

If Athletics did not have Olympic Gold , I think Coe & Ovett would never have met .

More and more cash getting thrown at these sports yet the product is getting poorer year on year.

Love sky sports advertisement of the big fight.
Show starts at midnight !.
They know damn well the fight won't start before 4am, and will probably be nearer 5.
And no mention of the cost.

I have to agree with snooker, since they let that villain John Higgins back after barely a rap on the knuckles I've lost all interest in the sport.
I've got absolutely no interest in tennis either since Anna Kournikova retired.
I can't watch a game of football for the sheer fun of it, if I have not had a bet I won't watch it regardless of who is playing.

Sport is totally pointless without betting. I wouldn`t watch anything if I didn`t have a bet on it. wtf cares who wins?

As long as there is Test cricket, all is well, but I fear for the future.

MayweatherPacquaio could be a blockbuster and its been written off a yawnathon before the walk ons...

With current sports conditioning even in their late 30's they will be fitter than boxers who fought in the 20th century

99% of sport is dross. Who watches snooker and test cricket? Confused

TV has killed all sport. Years ago it was fantastic to see a football match LIVE on telly, now it`s terrific to get one day without a game and that never happens. Snooker was great when Pot Black started on telly but Hearn`s greed ruined the game. Used to be characters playing but now they are all clones. Same with racing, ITV 7 on a Saturday was brilliant, now every race is shown 7 days a week, not only from UK but from USA and Australia. Bit like enjoying scrambled egg until the wife serves you it 7 days a week and one gets sick of it. Cry

I remember how the snooker and darts would bring the country to a standstill each year!

You're right about todays snooker, but there's definite hope that the rest of the tournament will have some cracking finishes - aside from O'Sullivan V Bingham it looks a cracking line up - Wednesday in particular should be excellent viewing

Orioles, I spent a lot of years at The Oval, seen all the greats but I've even lost interest in cricket which I played and umpired for decades. I'll go and watch the Aussies when they are over for a day out but that's about it. I only really enjoy horse racing, rugby union, NFL and greyhound racing now and go and watch Palace every now and then but that's about it really. I used to love Friday night athletics meetings at Crystal Palace which used to be a full house all the time, I'd rather watch the Antiques roadshow than watch an athletics meeting on the box now Sad

I love Test cricket, Slippy. I'm in the grumpy old man section these days, lamenting crowd noise and the intrusion of technology lol.

As you know, American sports are my passion and I do think that the problem over here might be less the volume of sport and more our dreadful coverage. With the exception of Danny Baker/Kelly for example, footy shows are appalling.

We're decades behind the colonies :(

I have spent the last couple of years contemplating when it comes to sport if  I have just  become an old fart or have most sports except on the odd occasion become just one big bore fest Sad

Not enjoying sport as much and getting up three times a night to pee - nature is a cruel mistress.

Tennis coverage may be in doubt.

The BBC contract for Wimbledon ends in 2017, and speculation is they will form a joint contract with BT.

[the doctors ask how often the Fawltys can get away for a holiday, but Basil, paranoid over one of them being a psychiatrist, thinks their inquiry is about his sex life]
Dr. Abbott: How often can you and your wife manage it? You don't mind my asking?
Basil Fawlty: [like a deer in headlights] Not at all. Not at all. About average, since you asked.
Mrs. Abbott: Average?
Basil Fawlty: Mm-hm.
Dr. Abbott: What would be average?
Basil Fawlty: Well, you tell me. Ha-ha.
Mrs. Abbott: Well, um... couple of times a year?
Basil Fawlty: What?
Dr. Abbott: Once a year? Well, we knew it must be difficult. My wife couldn't see how you could manage it at all.
Basil Fawlty: [affronted] Well, as you've asked, two or three times a week, actually.
Dr. Abbott: A week?
Basil Fawlty: Yes. Pretty normal, isn't it? We're quite normal down here in Torquay, you know.
