I can't believe the story today where two soldiers who were p*ssed attacked two guys and stamped on one guys head, then chased down the other guy and stamped on his head 18 times, said it was self defence but it was all caught on camera, but because they were given good references they were let off with a slap on the wrist, just suspended sentences.

People go to prison for absolutely **** all like a stupid tweet, and that could be seen as attempted murder! AngryAngryAngryAngry.

I saw that JC. Absolutely incredible. They should have been jailed for the maximum which was stated as 5 years on each of 2 counts that they were found guilty of.
Surely the CP will appeal the sentence.

You've got to think it would be appealed. When you see people getting stiff sentences for basically nothing, then that, it just completely undermines any respect anyone will have for the system.

If someone stamps on someones head (I think one of the victims was actually out cold at the time) .. you could very easily kill them, it's not just a bit of drunken handbags..

1 stamp you could accept in a fight but more than that it has to be attempted murder.

the things people do when they're drunk, and they criminalise and stigmastise people that use cannabis more so, ridiculous

People getting jailed for making threats on twitter, beggars belief this sentence.

JC, I also watched that in complete disbelief after reading first they both got suspended sentences and neither got sacked from their jobs. I would have thought 4 - 5 years each would have been justified. They could easily have killed their victims, absolutely sickening decision by the judge.

Apparently, there are a lot of married couples in Durham and Newcastle who originally met at polling stations. It's all the flirting voters.

I think the shop keeper and the ladies should all be in jail for attempted murder.

The poor axe holding customer must be scarred for life!!!

He may have come in to get his axe sharpened.!!!

Compensation due here too.
