“Prison will come as a real shock to him, he will lose his job as well as his good character,” Mr Rushbrooke said.

And his teeth, hopefully.

I was in Morrisons Bradford this afternoon. A lot of the staff have tattoos ffs. So I said to the manager who was in store today. My mate's son wants a job here for a year or so, but he doesn't have a tattoo, will that count against him?

Some people have no sense of humour.

there was an hour special on Radio4 last night about Bradford. It was actually admitted that the mosque leaders tell the people who to vote for, in exchange for more powers from who ever gets elected. It is called the biraderi system and is basically bloc voting, this apparently is the norm in Pakistan which we know has a fine upstanding record against corruption.

Isn't that exactly what politicians do?  They promise to give you more than the other parties in order to secure your vote.

Often comes down to the race of those on the ballot paper. In the 97 landslide election win for Labour, the Bradford West ward saw the only swing in the entire country from Tory to Labour, and one of 12%!! Simply came down to an Indian against a Pakistani.
