From Monday's show Question was - Name a Beatles Top 40 hit that starts with a consonant. First to answer was a guy in his 50s. "What's a consonant?" He asked. I wonder who he'll be voting for.
Maybe he'll see the error of his ways and realise he needs help and vote for the Consonant Preservation League, with a vow to work hard and improve himself under such a government.
Or maybe he's a Vowelist (an Enoch Vowelist perhaps), with a 'Bloody Consonants, coming over here, stealing our syntax and grammar'
One can only hope.

The same bloke was in a restaurant with his wife when she said 'Pass me some condiments.'
He smiled and said 'Your hair looks nice and I like your shoes.'

Couple of other points re this. The guy was a Police Officer. Mind you Xander helped him by saying we are looking for ones that don't start with a vowel. He must have heard of that one since he got a correct answer.

Was it the bloke and his son? If so, I'm fairly sure he was a copper, if so. I'm not convinced he wasn't trying to be funny with his question though. He was a bit thick but surely not that thick!

No it was Richard who told him that the best explanation of a consonant he could give was that it was letters other than vowels. When the guy asked alexander what it was he in turn asked Richard if he could enlighten him. Was embarrassing in the extreme.

akabula 22 Apr 15 10:38 Are you serious about him being a copper Mikael. God help us if he is.
One of my nieces is a copper, and she's as thick as two planks.
If you live in Windsor you'd better hope she doesn't turn up on your doorstep if you report a crime.

Ok, just watched it back, and I'll accept he probably wasn't joking...
AA: Kevin, remember we're looking for any UK single by the Beatles beginning with a consonant UKIP Plod: Being a comprehensive boy, it would be nice knowing what a consonant meant, hahaha AA to RO: You going to furnish him with that UKIP Plod: Yeah, go on RO: Yeah, I'm gonna call it a non-vowel UKIP Plod: OK. UKIP Plod: Help [his answer, not an explanation of what a non-vowel is! Scored 20]

Defamatory post.
Fact - there are more thick Labour and Tory supporters than there are thick UKIP supporters.
