My spam filter on this account used to work quite well. Suddenly last night I was bombarded by spam in the form of trashy ads at the top of my inbox which I can't even delete. Has anybody else had this problem and did you ring the police ?

It has had an overhaul with extra ads and individual emails are now grouped in 'conversation view' which you can't change. It's a mess.

Not logged into my account for a month.

Just did it, I have 50 Facebook messages, all dealt with a long while ago, without looking in there.

One advert in my inbox from Capitol One, and nothing in the spam folder.

Yep Capital One is one. And I agree with john it is a mess. I can't get through to Yahoo who are " exceptionally busy ". Their CEO is on $117m dollars for 5 years so they must be hard up.

The advert at the top is an advert, not a spam email.

Yes I know Ramruna. The point I am making is why bother with a spam filter when the company is generating spam itself.
