'.........Katie Hopkins' malicious words were once more published in The Sun newspaper on the 17th April in an article on Mediterranean migrants, following the sinking of a migrant vessel on the 12th of April which saw 400 people drown.
The majority of migrants who make this crossing are from war-torn Syria which they flee for their own safety, or Eritrea which they leave to avoid extreme oppression and human rights violations. These people, who can pay sums of £10,000 and sometimes more to make this desperate journey, were called cockroaches by Katie Hopkins. Inexplicably, she described them as 'feral humans' despite her own flagrant lack of humanity.
Katie claims she 'doesn't care if migrants die' which is an opinion she is entitled to, despite it being a sad and selfish one. I am not attacking her right to an opinion, however I do not believe The Sun newspaper should encourage these poisonous opinions. Presenting these extreme views as normal is dangerous and only encourages further demonisation of immigrants in our own country. Between 2001-2011 migrants contributed £25 billion to our economy, and only 1% of unemployed migrants were on benefits in 2011 compared with 4% of UK nationals. Immigrants are not detrimental to our society but essential.
We live in a forward thinking society and Katie Hopkins' views should not be encouraged; this is why I ask The Sun newspaper and editor David Dinsmore to remove Katie Hopkins as a columnist, at the very least to redeem yourselves from publishing this prejudiced article in the first place.......'

Hopkins exists for the sole reason to upset as many people as she can, a most vile individual, however the Sun newspaper gives her the platform to air her views & more than likely encourages her to be as extreme as possible, in my view this disgusting organisation is even worse than Hopkins.

The first comment made by a here-today-gone-tomorrow 'Sun' columnist, paid by private money to be the equivalent of a "shock jock" or whatever ridiculous media term applies. No surprise there.
The second comment astoundingly made by a sitting MP, paid by you and I the British taxpayer presumably to represent us without fear or favour, and to be colour-blind about it. And preferably without quite so many expenses. Call me old-fashioned, but I can't quite see where making dreadful remarks about a massive proportion of the world's population comes into that role, let alone represent Socialism.
It is a chilling thought that this person stood for Leadership of a Party that may well be running this country in a few weeks time. No other candidate seemingly questioned the wisdom of this, or pointed out the blindingly obvious concerns the rest of us had. Indeed a staggering 33 nominated her candidacy. God help us if this one ends up in a Labour Cabinet, which is a very real threat at the time of writing.
So, which do I think is the most vile? I think it's what's called a No Contest, don't you?
Incidentally, I and many other white people were gravely offended by that second comment. Who on the British Left is doing anything about that please, and why aren't the police involved? As I recall, the Rochdale MP asked the police to waste some time investigating Hopkins for some other comment she made on Twitter recently.

When and where did I ever say I was going to leave the country if Labour win the Election? I have no intention of leaving the country, nor have I ever wanted to, less still expressed a desire to.

As this is a thread regarding the African boat people, I have obtained the kind permission of an eminent forumite to post his thoughts from another thread, which express mine more succinctly than I could possibly do myself. I find myself staggered that people who can clearly read, write and articulate in this way seem to be unable to draw the obvious conclusions. You are no refugee if you are paying gangmasters ten grand to transport you across the med. So why disingenuously seek to pull on peoples heart strings with links to Syria and Eritrea? If conditions in those countries were indeed the reason they would be fleeing to the first safe country. Before we deal with the issue we have to be honest about what is happening here. There is a desire amongst possibly millions of Africans to have a European style lifestyle. Who cam blame them? Certainly not me but until we recognise what is going on we will continue to fail to address the issue.

Special Needs seems obsessed with the words vile and rancid, the medication is clearly failing, perhaps a whip round for a full frontal might help stem the terminal decline that's eating away at what's left of any working grey matter.
