Doesn't matter how many she sold off. The fact is for every one put back into private ownership , was one removed from the ability to house a homeless family. For every one sold off, with the money not being used to rebuild  - meant another house was not there for the homeless. Add to that that the building of social housing was never funded anything like what was needed, creates the situation we' re in now,

The 10 m growth in population is one thing, that's demographics. How many of this growth require social housing ?
Was this planned into the housing build strategy ?

I thought it was a 'get up off your aarse and do something' attitude..still had to get mortgage and pay it off by WORKING.

For every one sold off, with the money not being used to rebuild  - meant another house was not there for the homeless.

Not so, the private rental sector takes a lot of these families now. Because plenty of those ex council houses end up being let.

Also people who move out of these ex council properties into private estates, puts extra demand on private house building as well.

So it all balances out.

I'll be glad when it's all over it seems nationally to have been a nasty and hateful campaign, I'm glad we have not had to witness it around here.

funny how the left think the opportunity to buy your own home is a bad idea but when you dig deeper, their families have all done it.
