anyone noticed this lately, mostly from the sports department, looks unsightly at the best of time let alone for news reporting on the BBC - before anyone asks I'm not talking about the women

Good old BBC! There's no reason why women should not be allowed to commentate on sport, or anything else for that matter. Obviously, all women would not be suitable for the job, but nor would it suit all men.
