I haven't watched this programme a great deal, but where the final £10,000 challenge is concerned it would most definitely be an advantage to choose drop 1 or 4 in which to place the jackpot token.
When I was on it PM after it got down to the final the girl contestant still in it ( her first ever quiz show ) came round the back of the stage, there was a tv screen where we were watching the show, the actual view for the contestants is pretty poor as you are not looking down on the game but your at eye level to it, I pointed out to her that her best chance would be one of the ends, looking at the screen onto the game set I said preferably the one with the least amount of coins in which was in drop zone 1, within seconds she was ushered back for the final & duly won the 10k using drop zone 1

Having watched it quite a few times, you would be surprised how useless some people are at 'games'.
I've seen people who have no chance whatsoever of getting the Jackpot counter out with two questions left, and a maximum of 6 counters to play, but STILL go for it in the same place, instead of picking up easy money from other areas of the machine.
