Forking ridiculous!

Amongst other, very many, light bulbs I have 21 incandescent reflector spotlight bulbs.

Have always bought them from "Wilco" in boxes of four for  circa £3.99 or less.

Just went today to stock up on these and other types. Not one multi-pack on anything!
The whole display was individual bulbs, all with the same green on white cheap looking packaging to make them look "Eco-Friendly".

I need 21 plus spares, so thirty will cost £119.70!!!

Thank you very much you dictatorial b*****ds in Brussels!

Not yet being completely devoid of my senses, I just bought 30 on line for  £23.97 which is more than enough to pay.

Before someone says they'll only last for ten minutes, that was always the case before.

OK, I will oblige.

Sounds like you were incandescent with rage.

Well that's the price you pay for installing cheap light fittings.

I paid £10 for a light bulb last week in B&Q. Shocked

Techonology moves on, LED bulbs are the future.

But for me, I can't beat that warm homely glow I get from burning candles in the skulls of my enemies.

This might explain the reason why you are experiencing the sleep issues Happy

Where are you located Aunty?  and are the bulbs the R80 type?  I don't use them anymore but might be able to shine a little light on your dilemmaCry

Thanks blackbarn.....I'm close to York.

Back in better times I didn't have to pay for things like this, as there were lots of suppliers who liked to say "thank you"...Wink

The ones I was talking about are R63 Pearl.

£7.99 for ten is reasonable so will see how they are.

Pretty certainly will be Chinese, like almost everything we buy, and I guess the ones at "Wilcos" will be the same.

Brilliant....My bulbs have arrived!  For some reason they have come in a big box with "SCREWFIX" tape over it.
(Thanks for your Amazon Marketplace order with Eden Falls Trading).

They are in packs of two branded "EVEREADY" and stating "Bulb Life 1,000 Hours".

Well chuffed am I!!!

That's 41.66 days. Is that long enough for growing cannabis LaughMischief
