Sound keeps going off every so often,usually by restarting fixes the problem but getting fed up of doing that.

Make sure you have anything you don't want to lose, like photo's, saved in a memory stick or whatever it is you save things on.
Our PC was doing strange things before it died completely. I hadn't thought to save anything in case if sudden death  |
