The Trial of Elizabeth Gadge Two of England's most notorious and feared witchfinders are summoned by Sir Andrew Pike to the unassuming village of Little Happens to try a defenceless old woman. Elizabeth Gadge stands accused of consorting with the Devil and will be burnt at the stake if she is found guilty by Mr Clarke and Mr Warren - while for the locals it is the most exciting event since the business of the escaped cow. Comedy, written by and starring Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith, with David Warner, Paul Kaye and Ruth Sheen

Could see the end coming. Owed a lot to Blackadder series 1 - the witchsmeller pursuivant. And the Simpsons version of the Salem trials. Amusing enough. Though not in real time.
