Yes recovered mate great session, one of the best, great company, great craic,

I don't know why St Andrew doesn't get the same recognition, we know about Irish emigration taking St Pat around the world especially the USA, but the Scots opened up the West and Canada. and had large numbers emigrate as a result of the facken sheep sh@gging Highland clearences

Burns night gets celebrated all over the world but that's a 3 or 4 out of ten compared to St Patricks 11.
In fact 3 or 4 looks generous compared to the 11.

St Paddys day was not greatly celebrated to the present extent in Ireland when I was a lad, perhaps the Yanks drove it to today's extremes, dying rivers green and other over the top headline grabbing tricks ????

A man is appearing in court after being charged with the murder of Syrian-born preacher Abdul Hadi Arwani.

Leslie Cooper, 36, will appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court in London on Tuesday, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

Mr Arwani, a critic of the Assad regime, was shot dead in the north London as he waited in his car last week.

The assassination of a preacher in suburbia

The 48-year-old father-of-six was found slumped at the wheel.

A post-mortem examination found he died from gunshot wounds and counter-terrorism officers were tasked with investigating his murder.

Mr Arwani was an imam at the An Noor mosque in Acton, west London, from 2005 to 2011.

Rob Davis, from the CPS London Homicide Unit, said: "The Crown Prosecution Service has today authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Leslie Cooper, 36, with the murder of Abdul Hadi Arwani. Mr Arwani was shot dead in the Greenhill area of London on April 7 2015.

"This decision was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Leslie Cooper, not a very assassiny name is it? Hardly "The Jackal".

Agreed Kenneth. I imagine this is just a 'holding' arrest just to show some sort of activity? Anyone trying to prosecute a name like that for an assassination would surely be laughed out of court?

Leslie's weapon of choice would surely be a rolling-pin or frying pan, it's enough to get the case thrown out before any papers get shuffled.

As Gunnery Sgt Major Williams used to say in 'It Ain't Half Hot Mum.' -  'Oh dear. How sad. What a shame.'

How did you kill him Mr Cooper?

Not like that..like that.

Just for the avoidance of doubt (as we say in the trade) - Leslie is Male,  Lesley is Female,  No doubt there are exceptions.
