Does anybody like this guy as a pundit? He's got a mumbling, indistinct voice. There must be one hundred ex-pros who could do a better job.

I'm with Vlad, too clever by half. I actually like his analysis, it's normally spot on.

Yeah, Alias - a Hibs fan Laugh...he magically morphed into a media-friendly Hibs fan due to sectarian issues with another team...Laugh

Do you know why he became a Hibs fan Vel?
By:

I guess it's more media-friendly to support gallant wee teams, Aka, and not dominant giants like Celtic and Rangers...begorra, Hibs fans don't sing sectarian songs, they only sing lovely wee nursery rhymes, don't they?

Sure, Jim Traynor is an Airdrie fan and Chick Young is a St. Mirren fan too...Laugh

He was a Celtic fan but got sickened by some of the singing and stated he didn't want his two sons to experience that type of atmosphere.
He's no time for either of the OF teams TBF.
Was reading that he'd been at parkhead but celtic released him because he was too small. FFS Jinky was hardly a giant.

I think with Nevin he'll be more truthful than the likes of Chick Young.
BTW his wiki page says he lives in the borders but I used to see him regularly in Edinburgh and often with two bags of messages. Laugh

Yeah, Aka, Ryan Gauld is hardly a giant either...not to mention 80% of world class Barca players...so...

I take it Pat Nevin, the righteous one, AKA Pat Negandhi, won't be attending any more Chelsea games due to the racist behaviour of Chelsea fans on the Paris Metro?
By:

He writes a column for Chelsea but I don't think he attends any of their games.

Saying that about Laudrup always reminds me of watching a game v Celtic.
Was the ?-2 game Blush Anyways I said to my son "That Larsson isnae as good as they make out".
About ten seconds later he scored that goal.
My son looked at me and said "Any more gems Da".

Laudrup is my Da's favourite player of all time, along with Puskas - I keep trying to persuade him that Brian Laudrup wasn't even the best player in his own family Mischief...I bought him a Real Madrid top with LAUDRUP on the back a few years ago...

Saw Puskas live in this game. Baxter stood out and Rangers were all over them for long periods but still got fecked. Sad

Was watching a game with my brother (who's a Man U fan, therefore knows feck all) and about two minutes after I'd corrected his assertion that David Ginola 'doesn't have a left foot' he did this... (Ginola, not my brother)

Proves nowt, of course, but it shut my brother up!

There's a bit in Puskas' autobiography about Jim Baxter taking him to a wild swingers' party in Drumchapel.

Puskas asked him. He couldn't speak English and asked for rumpy rumpy or something like that.

I met Baxter on quite a few occasions. A couple of times at the Shawfield dogs. I knew the guy who was his unofficial agent.
great company but my feck if he was losing with a few drinks down him he was to be avoided. Sober or drunk but winning he told some great tales.

He told us a great story about Wee Willie Henderson And Ali although Ali was called Cassius Clay at the time.
Wee Willie was introduced to Ali as WWH a famous Glasgow Rangers footballer to which Ali replied "Gee wiz with a face like that I'm sure glad I'm a boxer".
He said Wee Willie, who is a massive boxing fan, was just delighted he'd said anything. Laugh

May not be a great pundit but scored in my first ever Chelsea game, so will always have a soft spot for him.
