The inquiry is focused on the Eagle Medical Practice on Alderney in the Channel Islands and is being led by Guernsey Police.

On Thursday they confirmed 10 officers used a search warrant to raid a surgery run by Dr Rory Lyons and a private residential address.

A police spokesman said nobody has been arrested.

"The circumstances which led to this action are that concerns were raised with the Health and Social Services Department (HSSD) following the death of a patient who had been under the care of the Eagle Medical Practice," he said.

"HSSD carried out a preliminary internal investigation, where three further deaths of concern were identified, before referring the matter to Guernsey police. Based on this information we have launched an investigation."

The spokesman added: "This decisive early action was necessary in order to ensure the protection of the public, which is always our primary concern."

My mum shares the same drive as this doctor and received a knock on the door yesterday from reporters from the Sun and Mail.
Obviously she wouldn't speak or give any info apart from saying this isn't her doctor....the reporter rubbed her shoulder and said you have had a lucky escape then!!

Serious question -- what about doctor-patient confidentiality?

Police have seized all the medical records: will they be checked by expert doctors from the mainland or will detectives trawl through them and fill the police canteen with banter about the OP's anal fistula?

Would guess thatdoctors were involved  in the  initial inquiry, after family complained about the treatment the patient received,
Am pleased to say he is not my doctor neither.

"Police have seized all the medical records,"

The cold caller companies have likely already bought those details.Cry
