I agree that it looks like a hoax but wasn't he on a fishing trip? if he could still access the equipment then catching fish not a problem. Apparently out in the open Atlantic you get a lot of Flying Fish, the ones that jump out of the water and glide for a good way, if you're in a sail boat they often land on deck. My uncle crossed the Atlantic in a home-made boat a few years ago and he said that they had dozens of these fish land on deck

For a start, I presume his starting point was a place where fish WERE, which is why he was there in the first place? |

I read the report briefly I thought it was a proper boat with a cabin to stay out of the sun in, not a little life raft.

Actually given it IS a proper size boat, if it had been in a harbour for 2 months someone might have seen it?
There's the possibility I suppose it is fake but he loaded it up with food and water purifiers and so on. Poor guy, he gets back to civilisation only to find out that call me a taxi has been banned  |

the boat was supposedly capsized, unlikely he would have the fishing gear to hand? and again, what did he use to collect the "rain water"? as rescuers observed, he seemed in surprisingly good nick |

Just watched a video of him being interviewed. Definitely something very fishy about this. His demeanour and flippant comments are unreal. Methinks the guy is an attention seeking wannabe.

If you had just spend 66 days alone, you would have difficulty putting a sentence together initially.
