Back to the subject in hand.

Your symptoms definitely suggest you may have gallstones. I would advise you see your doctor who will arrange an ultrasound scan. Best to obtain confirmation one way or another. I suffered for years. Intermittently feeling lousy. Then sudden attacks of stomach/ chest pain, like severe heartburn/ indigestion. Often in the early hours.Feeling nauseous and often retching. Started off occurring once or twice a year . First time I thought I was having a heart attack.then started to happen more regularly, some attacks worse than others. In between lots of belching and generally feeling under the weather. Finally after one very bad do, went to the doctors. An ultrasound confirmed I had gallstones. Lots of people have them, and are never bothered by them. But if you're unlucky, and your stones are ones that move, then you're in trouble. The gall bladder is a reservoir for bile. Bile iis being produced by the liver all the time. It's function is to break down fat in yourr food. If you have a particularly heavy meal, or one that is heavy in fat, extra bile is required, so the gall bladder contracts and squirts out the additional bile. It's this squeezing action that can cause a stone to be moved into the bile duct. It's this that causes the pain etc. Subsequently, the stone can either be ,passed or falls back into,the gall bladder or remains stuck fast in the bile duct. This can prove very serious, immediate signs are severe constipation/pale a' putty coloured ' faeces and very dark urine. This blockage of the bile duct then causes jaundice.
If you have gall stones, that are moving , and therefore causing issues,there is only one remedy. The removal of the gall bladder. Ttw is is done via keyhole surgery and you're out of hospital within 24 hours. It's one of the most commonly performed operations.

Two weeks I was in,took them 4 days to fit me in was on morphine during that period was in absoplute agony then they screwded up the operation bile leak causing peritonitis on antibiotics then stent fitted.Absolute excruciating pain with bag collecting bile had to self induce mprphine took me 6 months to get get rid of the all the different pain referrals unreal but life threatening as well...

going for biliary colic or acute pancreatitis.

possible SIBO causing the wind, caused by a combination of the above and the PPIs he's on.

stop drinking, avoid processed carbs, sugar and high fat food until you see the quack.

He'll do a Murphy's sign first up, and you'll probably end up getting booked for blood tests and an transabdominal ultrasound. a breath test for SIBO would be good too.

A friend of our family recently got diagnosed with stomach cancer.
It can only be described as being completely fobbed off by the NHS on 5 occasions she went about stomach problems.
She was told on one occasion 'it's probably just fatty tissue'

About a month ago she went about a problem with her belly button and this doctor wanted to put a scope down.
They discovered inoperable stomach cancer.
She is now in the hospice with what could be only days left.

Remarkable both the speed things deterioted and the shockingly poor care in the NHS that has left us all angry.
It takes on average 3 return visit to be diagnosed with cancer, in her case it was 6.

thought i had diverculosis but the colonoscopy showed up clear.
suspect ibs is a possibility.....could be and milk and fructose could be the triggers.

although it took a month on being back on milk to make things go bad again....may have been a combo...like some of the animal fats in meat...also notice pizzas are a fkn nightmare :(

i've hardly been eating but that brings other issues as i now feel as weak as a kitten. The pain is still there though. I admit my diet is rubbish and i hardly eat any greens.

Chances are its not something 'serious' and something that can be coped with, with help.
The relity is that you need clarification just incase Id suggest, if that means pushing a point with the Docs then so what?
They all work within budgets, if you sit outside that variable then you are in trouble, you need to help yourself

If you go on the NHS you will be put on a waiting list and you will then realise the folly of delaying.
4. If the condition deteriorates dial 999 and pack your pyjamas.
It may be nothing, but from your postings, you clearly don't realise the possibilities of your symptoms.

You haven't wound me up. In my long career I have found that ignoring symptoms can kill. Keep that appointment on Wednesday, don't be fobbed off with a prescription and "see how it goes". If the symptoms get worse- dial 999. Good luck.

It was about five years ago but I took my missus to Wexham Park A&E and a doctor saw her within 45 minutes.

It was either a Sunday or BH Monday.

I have no idea about medical advice, but just in case:

1) Don't start any long books.

2) Withdraw your entire Betfair balance and spend it.

3) Put up details of anything you want to auction. I'd like first offer on any guitars and flat screen televisions.

GP's see a lot of abdominal pain patients. He probably wont refer you to a consultant straight off.If he does the appointment will be 3 months away. If so and you are not skint take the initiative and get the GP  to refer you privately. You will see a specialist within a week cost about £100-£150 but you will know quickly where you stand.Its well worth doing.

The Doctor's first step will be to send him for an Ultrasound.

This sounds exactly like what I was suffering from , though have never had it before & wasn't feeling sick , just worryingly heavy heartbeating .
The heartburn liquid seems to have cleared it for now but have still got slight pain in my back at the same place
If it reoccurs i'll have more of an idea now & will ask for the ultrasound
The nurse put it down to severe stress , which I have been suffering , but I think the stress just bought an underlying problem out a bit more tbh

Anxiety is a horrible thing to suffer from (let alone the other problems like this) people that haven't suffered from it wouldn't understand what it can actually do to you mentally & physically , so need to get this under control first

as for calling 111 that's exactly what I was advised to do & an Ambulance came & checked me out , did a full ECG , then took me to a walk in centre to be checked by a Nurse (all very nice & helpful peeps)

Doctors don't deal with anybody with suspected heart problems & they'll just refer you straight to Hospital anyway

Did you have keyhole surgery? I did, and because of previous laparotomy procedure, I had lots of old internal adhesions caused by scar tissue. As a result they couldn't remove all of the gall bladder, due to risk of cutting the bile duct ! Which pre op. the surgeon had explained if this occurred it was serious .

No Facts , it's directly at the back of where the front pain was located at the bottom side of the ribcage , it's not serious pain though it comes & goes so is the least of my problems tbh

Ok. It seems odd, but one symptom of gallstones is in addition to the centralised pain, pain is also felt in the back toward the right shoulder

You wouldn't believe this but the doctors surgery have just phoned me to say my appointment is cancelled because dr akhtar has gone sick ffs. So i ask "can you arrange for me to see someone else please"?. "sorry there is nothing available for the rest of the week, phone back at 8am tomorrow morning to see if theirs been any cancellations". Not a happy chappy

I believe it. NOW FFS feign great pain and take yourself off to A & E like I told you in the first place. A five hour wait means you wont have to wait another 3 weeks to see the dr. Also an added bonus is how much you won't lose on here while you are waiting at A & E!

I phoned for an appointment for Wednesday saying it was urgent they said there was nothing you lay it on thick they will fit you in somewhere,not only have I got an appointment for tomorrow but thet even offered me one today.
You can also ask to speak to the doctor tell him your symptoms if you've got pains in the stomach no chance he will not fit you in and probably to tell you top come down same afternoon..

From reading this post I can't but think you just can't help some people. The OP seems to take no advice whatsoever and Moonbeam is forever moaning about his life situation and now his health, despite plentiful advice on both. One can therefore only assume either/both are either extremely dim or more likely big old attention seeking trolls.

If you can't get in at your doctors and don't think it warrants A & E then phone 111, after listening to your symptons they'll get a doctor to speak to you and they will in turn recommend A & E or they will get you in at your doctors surgery immediately if there is any concern.  If the pain is that bad I'm sure you would have already done this.  If you eat crap you're going to feel crap, so I think you already know the answer to your problem.

doctor will say its IBS. If its a good doctor they will send you to a specialist. But its going to come down to diet. Cut out fruit. Eat veg. Cut out milk. Eat cheese. Cut out red meat. Eat chicken and fish.

treat your stomach like a hose pipe. chew a lot. plenty of water to flush through the pipe. sweetcorn to kelp push through.You do not want your food to linger in the pipes and stomach. keep it marching through. coconut milk to kill anything like yeast.

ive had to cut out certain greens for a while...broccoli cabbage peas asparagus....also no fkn fruit juice and the one i suspect is milk ...

re introduced milk and over that month problems started again.

thought it was drinking but when i stopped the milk  n cheese....thing started to improve again and can drink .

fructose intolerance can be linked to lactose intolerance so a bit wary of fruit although if you look up on the net there is a guide for ones lower in fructose than others.
apples are high.

Coconut milk is the very worst thing you can have, especially if gallstones are suspected. It's extremely high fat content , makes it an absolute no no for any issues with the digestive system.

never saw a doctor in my life before 50

after 50 I got a list

stenosis myopathy(feels like arthritis,comes,goes,very painful)
stomach acid(needed morphine once)
sleep apnea(a good few drinks late helps)
depression(think to much about how world is fcuked)

Got my results on friday and they came back normal so good news. Have had my omerprazole tablets doubled in strength and that has helped, also cut out milk etc in the last few weeks and that seems to have helped as well. Thank you to everyone on here who gave me a kick up the backside.

Doctor was a bit of a muppet to be fair, told me to cut out certain things and see if the pain/discomfort stopped

taking pro biotics for a few days to see it ease up.

Try fasting for 2 days then noting the effect of what you eat.

Go back to the a Doctors and insist you have an ultrasound scan.

ive already had a colonoscopy and the one down the gullet into the stomach.

think because i though it was milk intolerance i may have started to think i could eat normally again (just without milk products).

in hindsight thinking about things i had a growth on the stomach exit which explains the gas as it lets food through un prepared for the small intestine...causing gas and rumblings if i eat too much.

back to smaller meals but will get back on the milk.

the colonoscopy was a nightmare to prepare for. had to drink what seems like gallons of clear sludge in stages and it didnt taste great.
