A financial crisis and falling property prices have seen thousands of British expats flee Spain. But what about those still hanging on? This documentary reveals the fortunes of the Brits living on the Costa del Sol, meeting a bar owner whose customers have halved in 12 years, a dance teacher who spends all his pension on rent, a couple unable to sell their Spanish villa and return to the UK because of the stagnant property market and a pair of twentysomething women who share a one-bedroom flat with five others and work in the local bars
