Best way to make good money is to add a few employees to payroll ... use family members where you have bank details etc.
Nice little earner. BTW a lot MPs are really good at this sort of thing, but they just teach each other - never go on courses, just on the job training - they haven't got the time. |

I did some years ago as part of a commercial apprenticeship and started from scratch but different now.
Some companies will want you to be experienced with some sort of payroll qualification. Others will take you on and train you subject to you having 3/4 GCESs (the ave looked for), PC skills and a previous record of working in a clerical set-up. Getting a qualification won't really help you unless you have a proven track record in employment in a similar field. |

It was quite simple but pre computers so manual.
I had good book-keeping skills (as in accounts and not racing ) which at that time was compulsory.Nowadays the computer will do most of the work for you and your main task would be checking accuracy of results. Part of my last job was forwarding payroll amendments/additions and signing off the results once processed. Your job would be simply imputing this info which is relevantly simple, issuing P45s/60s and maintaining records. It like painting by numbers in that the process will more or less tell you what to do. |

Keep the charge to yourself. No way the company can find out about it.
It's only for positions of care ie children and elderly for instance that companies seek this type of info. I was responsible for recruitment for almost 25 years and in all that time we (ie me or the HR dept) never asked the police/ about anyones record, not sure they would supply the evidence willy nilly anyways. |
