It's not a "stark choice", I won't be voting for either of them.
It's a "sad fact" that one or the other of them will be PM regardless that only a minority will vote for either.

What a choice "plastic Cameron" or "gormless geeky Milliband"..its enough to make you weep.Both say they are concerned about immigration but do absolutely nothing to curb it and that's because they CAN'T..being in Europe has put paid to that.
A Wiltshire gambler has staked a whopping £10,000 on the Conservatives winning an overall majority.
At the odds of 11/2 quoted by William Hill, the punter could walk away with a £55,000 profit- but that would turn every opinion poll on its head.
But a majority would represent disaster for another customer of the bookie, who has placed an election-record £200,000 on the election resulting in another hung parliament.
The bookie has cuts the odds on a Conservative majority government to 9/2 - making it third favourite, after a Labour-led minority administration (2/1) or a Tory-led one (3/1).
Spokesman Graham Sharpe said it took £3.5 million in bets on the Scottish referendum – far more than for past UK general elections or US presidential contests.
Politics, he suggested, was fast rivalling the results of reality TV shows as the most popular non-sports outcome on which to have a flutter.

Daft system - nothing other than a popularity contest between the party leaders.
95%+ of the electorate couldn't tell you the names of their constituency candidates; they are voting purely for the party leader. A similar number wouldn't have any idea of the policies of each party. If you read out a policy to them, then asked them to say which party was proposing it, they would be utterly stumped.
Most will gormlessly say, "immigration, NHS, education, economy" if asked by a reporter in the street, but have absolutely zero idea how the policies on each differed between the parties. Considering the intellectual capability of the masses, giving everyone an equally weighted vote is a recipe for disaster. Half of people won't vote, the majority of the other half will vote for the same party they always have regardless of whatever is said or proposed. The swing vote % must be less than 1-2% of the electorate.

What their manifestoes say or what they say is immaterial as they have never fully kept their promises and we all know it - any party and at any time...
So broadly we vote for who we like best in a general election, not what they say - and the party managers know it ... Cameron & wife in their kitchen, Milliband and wife in their kitchen ... and you criticise the electorate "Most will gormlessly say, "immigration, NHS, education, economy" if asked by a reporter in the street, but have absolutely zero idea how the policies on each differed between the parties".

and the numpties like you on here, BBC, Sky, ITV, Channel 4, Newspapers ahould recognise this (but they do and won't say anything as they're on the gravy train, too). It's a multi-million industry.
