You just can't take the arithmetic average as you'd get a misleading result ... for example a lot of chit-chatters are about 12 or 13, whilst a lot are in their 90s.
So you'd get a mean of about 53.7523. Which would be meaningless. Best use the harmonic mean. |

that would be the harmonica mean, which is a different kettle of fish, ststistically speaking. That's why your reply resonates. I use the harmonic mean to identify which horse I should lay in my infallible "only lay horses that you think will lose" system. |

I would guess the Chit chatters are of a more mature age than the guys from the footy forum. Some (not all) of the footy forumites seem to have the mental maturity of an adolescent school boy with a rush of hormones to the head. Of course Im generalising, plus there are fair few laydees on there too. |
