Organisers of the Grand National have launched a crackdown on photographers taking unflattering pictures of Ladies' Day munters at this year's event.
Aintree racecourse boss John Baker told the Liverpool Echo the venue wanted to protect women at the world's biggest steeplechase from "unfair" coverage.
He said any photographers taking shots which enforce negative stereotypes could have their accreditation revoked.
Aintree want to a stop a recent trend of photographs showing women in "unflattering" poses - which some have accused of portraying Liverpool in an unfavourable light.
Mr Baker told the paper: "We want to overwhelm the negativity, to push the positivity to the front.

i'm taking a friend on ladies day this year ....trouble is he lives abroad ,not used to the british sporting jolly up , he once went to goodwood for the festival and thought it 'unruly' which begs the question what will he think of aintree on the friday !!!???

Royal Ascot's no better in the cheap ring, too many people in too small a space.
Out joint was by the 2 furlong pole and we were nowhere near the last one in the line. Not a blade of grass left for anybody to sit or stand on. Couldn't go for a piss as you'd never get back because of the dense crowds. And when the horses came past I couldn't see a thing, as the the punters all stood on chairs, tables and dustbins to watch. |

Sheer class compared to the Thursday of the Leger meeting since that got rebranded as Ladies Day.
As one punter up from London commented to a group of ladies there a few years back: "Are you lot vampires? Cos I don't think you can see yourselves in a mirror." |
