Breaking news - co-pilot deliberately crashed plane

I assume we will hear the reason in time, he will have left something to tell us

I don´t know how you going go about preventing this happing again.

Maybe before any future flights, do a polygraph test on the pilot & ask him if he is going to intentionally crash the plane or not.

Sad state of affairs....but there you go.

It has been suggested that there should be two people in the cockpit at all times.

So you either have three pilots (I think this is the case in the US) or a third person, ie cabin crew, who attends if one of the pilots needs to relieve himself

How they know the pilot never locked the co pilot out

The voice on the black box was of the pilot wanting to get back INTO the flight cabin

probably had some sort of rejection / relationship breakdown

did they get voices from the wreckage or before it went down

hope not AT be a some ending

While it may be the case that the co-pilot deliberately crashed the plane I still don´t find the little evidence made public so far enough to label a man a mass murderer.

What we know is that the captain was locked out; that he knocked on the door and got no reply; that the recorded message could identify breathing, so the co-pilot was still alive.

Could it not be that he was unconscious or incapacitated? Still breathing but unable to move?

In the absence of a suicide letter or some evidence of psychological problems I remain unconvinced.

making such a rapid descent requires manual intervention (apparently).

They are saying that all the current evidence is pointing to a deliberate act.

From what I've heard, the way the plane descended indicates that he was in control of the plane.

unless there was a reason  to descend (but no message to C/T  )  and no physical or verbal access to pilot .


had he been drinking ?  drugs?  are pilots tested  ?

The reason they say it's deliberate is because he activated the extra locking mechanism on the inside of the door (this is like the equivalent of deadbolting on the inside and putting the chain on), didn't respond, and entered into the autopilot the command to descend.

The media have yet again shown their venomous colours.

The copilot may be guilty but how a government official can hang draw and quarter a guy whilst also saying not all facts are known is a disgrace.

He had a duty to comment on it and reported what the evidence is pointing towards.
He will be under constant pressure from relatives of those who died who will be demanding answers.

He has a duty to state facts when the investigation is completed. no more no less.
Especially when all he is doing is interpreting incomplete facts

So you would deny the relatives and loved ones of those who died transparency.
All he has done is say what the evidence is pointing to.

I don't think there is a completely fail safe system unfortunately to eliminate all risk but whilst the evidence reviewed is seemingly pointing to the co pilot we should wait until all evidence is properly evaluated before we vilify him as is happening within the media
