The world needs more people like Kris Akabusi.

Not sure where he made all his money, but good luck to him.
(A Branson,McCartney-esque country mansion in about 100 acres with a fleet of Bentleys, Jags etc.) |

I'm with you Cardiff, his is one of the great feel-good stories considering his early life. Couple of Olympic medals, served the Queen.
I'm guessing he made his money from his TV appearances, he used to be ubiquitous when his fame was at its height. Think he does some speaking work, you know motivational stuff, after-dinner, quite a few quid in that as well, silly money in some cases. |

Bit of a caricature but someone's got to do it (and get paid for it).
If you want the 'go to' guy for a bit of emotional depth and gravitas after a plane crash, Kriss Akabusi would not be top of my list. |

There used to be a Quiz Akabusi team in virtually every pub in the land.

I've posted on here previously about Akabusi
Met him a couple of times through work - you couldn't meet a nicer bloke |

he does seem a decent enough guy but it was car crash tv when he was on yesterday talking about the plane

I've been to quite a few corporate annual conferences and he is the best speaker I've ever seen by far. Infectious.
Was a multi-national that I worked for at the time, so I'm guessing he doesn't come cheap. |

I'm not a 100% certain, but I think Stenhousemuir FC have a stand named after him. cheers.

Has Akabusi been spotted in the same room as Darren Bent?

I don't begrudge him his success. He has had to get over many hurdles in life.
