Think we can say goodbye to the title.  Have had a little nibble of the draw at 47/1.  Seems over the odds in what looks a close game to date.

Great fun, well done Ireland.

Did they really pumpy?  Ha ha, they conceded 55 points ffs.

Typical of France and even more so with Wales, as long as England don't win that is considered to be a great result regardless of how they have done in the tournament.
Report curious-cat March 21, 2015 7:22 PM GMT
that's because the English are not loved Slippy.

Wales are beyond contempt.  They will never get within a million miles of winning a world cup.  Was speaking to a welsh mate last weekend and I was saying how they can't win against southern hemisphere and they are basically bottlers.  He was all confident, "no we closed out this game against Ireland today and we closed out that game against south africa, i reckon we can do well at the world cup". Talk about deluded, think they lost about 20 consec games against southern hemisphere and after every one they patted themselves on the back for getting close.  A pathetic attitude.

No more to do with we have beaten the big team, rather than WE ARE the big team, quite sad really.

are you saying England are a big team ?

I find your post incomprehensible.
Report sixtwosix March 21, 2015 9:37 PM GMT
I take it the intense pride of the scots made them put up such a gritty never say die attitude against Ireland , no chance of them lying down to deny England the title .
Report Mikael D'Haguenet March 21, 2015 9:44 PM GMT
But for the beneath contempt Welsh, England wouldn't have had a chance to win it anyway.

Rob had a similar go at Ireland not so long ago.  What condescending horseshit.  Spouting opinions on a subject mater where his knowledge is paper thin.

As for France celebrating because they stopped England winning the title?  Did you actually watch the game?  They were actually running the ball from under their posts in injury time when they could have kicked it dead to ensure England couldn't win.
Report rob_dylan March 21, 2015 9:58 PM GMT
Ireland won the last two six nations yet we are favs to win it next year and 9/2 compared to 10/1 Ireland to win world cup.  God knows what price Wales are.  Ireland and Wales bottle it when it comes to world cups and southern hemisphere teams.  At least France believe in themselves even when they have a sh1t team.  Wales are just dogsh1t and I blame their fans.  They are to rugby what England are to football.

That was one player, several French Players thought the whistle had gone about 30 seconds before the actual  whistle & several players raised their arms in celebration, yes I saw the game, maybe you missed that bit though.
Report Ozymandius March 21, 2015 10:02 PM GMT
yeah spot on, they bottle it, just like England in the football world cup. If only to boiled down to quality and depth of player talent, they would stroll it ever time.

tbf I think it was just that one bloke on the team that had not heard of the hundred years war,Trafalgar etc His teammates didn't seem too keen on running it

Several French players had the opportunity to end the game, it wasn't just one who played on.  They were even taking quick lineouts deep in their own 22 with a couple of mins on the clock.

Scoring 35 points away from home at Twickers was huge for them, possibly a record, for a side who have been poor for about 4 or 5 years.  They can be hugely proud of their efforts.

well played France, 35 points at Twickenham a magnificent achievement

221 points scored in the 3 games, it was the best day of rugby union for many a year regardless of who you were supporting. Well done Ireland.
