Four bedroom house in Belfast sold at auction for 30k! find the most squalid studio flat in London, turn it into a couple of flats and you still wouldn't be able to flog one of them for less than 30k, I think homes were being sold for more than that in Roman times, 19 year old girl bought it from money she got after an accident compensation claim when she was 10 now released from her trust fund, "must have been a big accident you had"....."yeah I broke my ankle"

I love it when people (usually Asians) manage to practically rebuild a house that was in such a state of repair that it doesn't even look like a house and then say they did it for about 2 grand !

Anytime I have seen them feature a property in London they have
never ever said that the guide price is on the low side and it always is. Savilles is the auction house who use a low guide as bait to tempt the bidders. |

I'd love to see receipts as they seem to get an entire kitchen for £500, a bathroom for £300 , a new roof for £400 etc. The funny bit is that they budget £3500 but go £20 over when it turns out that they need a damp course and underpinning.
Do they do all the labour themselves? |

I remember one where this bloke bought a house for £100,000, he then divide it into two flats and spent £40,000 on it.
Agents came in and valued each flat around £50,000. Ouch!!! |

I like the way the presenters com along and examine the property - knock this wall down, change the kitchen move the bathroom.
What planet are they on? They had one bloke buy a property. He was a proper professional with loads of properties. When they asked him what he was going to do to the property he answered ''f'all.'' They said aren't you even going to redecorate? He said ''No I'm letting it straight away.'' He'd got a tenant in by the end of the month. That's how it happens in the real world. |
