This harps back to the '50s and was probably necessary as people had coal fires.
Decor and furnishings were dark and miserable so dirt wouldn't be obvious.

I think loads of people still do a spring clean. We started on Sunday and it will include a touch of painting, renewing ornaments and pictures. Lots of small diy items that have been put off for whatever reason as well.

Aye would have been winnings from a bet. From February or June last year. Was holding too much cash at the time and have three hiding places for stashing cash if I have excess. Thought the tin was empty.

I dont really go in for the 'big' clean, indoors. Thats not to say it doesnt get cleaned. What I do, do however is a garden/shed clean up in the Spring. Clear up any dead wood, tidy the bushes & trees etc. Nice find tho Clydebank.
