Almost there, we're almost there
How wonderful, wonderful our love will be For you, for me We're almost there where we will share A warm caress, tenderness, a dream come true For me, for you Love has waited such a long time Now we're a kiss apart Darling, this is the right time To let the kisses start For you're almost mine and soon we'll find Our paradise, paradise so rare Close your eyes for we're almost there You're almost mine and soon we'll find Our paradise, paradise so rare Close your eyes, close your eyes Close your eyes for we're almost there Almo-o-ost there A-a-almost there A-a-almost there Songwriters Kaylan, Howard Published by Lyrics © Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC, Universal Music Publishing Group, SEPTEMBER MUSIC CORP, NOEL L SILVERMAN I think they are about to get married! |

Fekking disgusting song lyrics.
Can just imagine all the old grannies in the care home trilling away to it! Lots of others such as "Please Please Me". Got Macca's "Yes Tour" DVD, where young kids and their parents are singing along without a clue (presumably)! |

I used to blush as a 15 year old when having Sunday lunch with mum and sis when Doris Day's move over darling was played on 2 way Family Favourites by Jean and Cliff. Now that was fecking filthy.

![]() I can see why you would have been embarrassed listening to that with your mum. Doris Day sang some lovey songs. |

I love her Makybe. I demanded to be taken to see Calamity Jane about 5 times I was told many moons ago. Fabulous singer and actress and has been so very kind to animals for many years.

Anyone able to think back to "Two Way Family Favourites" which was on the radio every Sunday lunch time.
This was the one where requests were sent to BFPO forces stationed in Germany and from there back to their family. The requests took as long as did the record as they mentioned every single family member plus dogs, cats and budgies etc. I can clearly recall that "Move Over Darling" was requested pretty much every week along with the disgusting "Sank 'Everns For Leetle Girls" by the lecherous Maurice Chevalier. Has that been banned as never hear it these days? |

Gary Puckett and The Union Gap's 'Young Girl' probably has a similar lack of radio time.

Kenny, there was a programme about Doris Day, on BBC4, last week.
Doris Day: Virgin Territory. It will be on iPlayer if you missed it. I recorded it but have yet to watch it. |

Doris might be 91 now, but she had a hell of a body on her. Check the ass on this clip from 1974.

Doris Day! What a figure...did you see the look on Jack Lemon's face (2:18) when she passed by. What a clinging dress, you could see she was wearing a thong or something. WOW! ![]() |
