Labour's smoking ban for you The smoking ban was inevitable B-B, though the Tories may have delayed it due to half of them being paid off by Philip Morris. When breweries lost the 'Tie'(which forced tenants to purchase all stocks from a sole supplier i.e. themselves) and offloaded large parts of their estate to pub companies, they couldn't wait to flood the supermarkets with cheap booze.
