Why keep giving IS, Isil, Isis or whatever it is they're calling themselves this week, extensive publicity? it is exactly what they want and exactly what they're getting, why not just have a blanket ban and let the air forces get on with it? if they keep reporting the latest kidnapping then they'll keep on kidnapping, they'll keep on getting their message out and keep on attracting sympathisers to fight their cause, vicious circle, same goes for all these other attention seeking groups such as Boko Haram, what benefit is there to give them and their deranged ideologies, oxygen? I can't think of one, maybe quite simply and sadly the media need to fill there air time and column inches and the journos and foreign correspondents are enjoying their paid for jollies abroad.
Very little local or national news these days, it's all doom and gloom conflicts abroad. The terrorists all fit the same psychological profile, life's outcasts and social misfits who now feel they have a purpose and no thanks to the International media, also have an unpaid mouthpiece on tap, aren't we clever

I see your point mesmerised.

One problem is that unless they have some publicity, we have no idea why they are doing it, what is their cause.
If somebody blows me up, I would like to know why.

But I think a bigger problem is we are bad news addicts, there is rarely good news in our news. If it is not terrorists
it is paedophiles, or supposed immigrant abuses, or benefit claimant abuses, if fact anything we think is bad. Also
we dwell on these far too long. Our news does little but depress us.

As I am older I try to avoid the news now, but difficult to avoid newspaper headlines

Sports new only for me.

Seems a reasonable view

The problem with that it have to apply to everybody everywhere

So any armed resistance to any government anyway, would have to be included

So Nelson Mandela would have been burntShocked as a member of the ANC..but it is a difficult one

Terrorism always kills the innocents

Often these terrorists have causes that can never be met, so all we see is an appalling waste of human life

On a case by case basis I believe both IS and Boko Hara are evil, I have no trouble with us killing them

It intrigues me that apparently this 'war' will go on for decades..

Now these aren't Afghanis who live on fresh air and beetles and reside in caves for months on end. These twots are there for all to see, and as such it should be easy enough to swot them from this earth..
