Coincidentally, the judge was from Scotland and a breeder of terriers.

Shame about Jagger, the Irish setter that was poisoned. Sad

I read somewhere that there was a massive influx of Irish setters in the USA in the 19th century

Caught just a few snippets, with my only interest being that Gemma's guy's parents are breeders of Old English Sheepdogs and Spaniels,
and were there, but not showing.

Don't get how the judging works as it looks more than a bit random to me!

One judge swans up and down a row of a couple of dozen dogs of varying breeds and picks out one dog, by nothing more than personal opinion,
which on that occasion was a poncey looking Poodle!

There is a very specific breed standard laid down by the KC. Judge is looking for dogs that match ( or as close to) this mark of perfection.

However if you wait until 2am on a Saturday they will take whatever they can bundle into a taxi.
