Iphones tell the time. So its like having 2 time pieces for people with ocd.

Plus ater a year the battery will last about 20mins so you have to upgrade.

But the gold watch isn't even a good investment. The model will be obsolete in 2 years

No doubt it'll sell out everywhere regardless Cry

Can't wait for the usual film of morons waiting for days outside an Apple shop to buy their latest moneyspinner. Then emerging with product raised aloft like they've won an Olympic gold medalLaughLaughLaugh

Is it going to be called the "i-watch" ?

I think this will be the future of the mobile phone, combined with a small indiscreet earpiece you can talk to your watch to make texts, calls and for information. Speach recognition is still a problem but inproving all the time. No keyboard is necessary so there's no need for a large screen, all information could be accessed from the cloud.

It won't do away for larger devices but will certainly fill a niche and is the future imo.

Remember where you heard it first Crazy

^^ I bought that the other day to have a play around with. It interfere's with my bluetooth headset so I won't use it much but I can see the benefits in gadgets like these. They are a niche product atm but someday (soon) they will become part of us. You won't need a large screen if you can control it via voice but something like this could monitor your blood pressure and pulse say if you have a heart problem and send the data direct to your doctors. I'm only guessing on the apps but someone somewhere will come up with something unique and you'll feel how you ever lived your life without it.

10 years ago who would have thought we'd need a smart phone when all we used a mobile for was for calls, look what we can do now. I'm making the same prediction for these. They won't entirely do away with large screen phone just as you can still buy a basic phone today. These gadgets will become part of us. Maybe even some day they will be implanted directly into us but I think the watch combined with a sim card is the next logical step.

Will still have the usual mugs camping out and queuing round the block to get one.
