Has anyone here actually read a Jeffrey Archer book? Bought one for 50p at the chemist yesterday - part one of the Clifton Chronicles...he got an advance of £18 million for this series of 7 books...

read loads of his Vel really enjoyed most of them, just finishing off a trilogy by his pal Michael Dobbs

I might get the audio books, BB. Our chemist has three shopping trolleys full of books, sold for charity. Think Archer still has 2 books to write to complete the series.

As the Crow Flies is a good one, it's about a chap who after WW1 sets up a Harrods type establishment.

I don't know about Thatcher knighting paedos, but in Archer John Major ennobled a perjurer, plagiarist and p1ss-poor novelist all in one. |

I think we should think about this - PONDER on it - that JK Rowling is a dire trumpet as is the woman who wrote "50 Shades of ****hawkery", not to mention Dan Brown...so...in this world, it clearly pays to be dire...
