Its a very decent film although no patch on All Quiet On The Western Front and Paths Of glory which 2 of the best films ever

Yeah thats captain stransky...coburn (sgt steiner) is pisssing himself cos stransky doesnt know how to reload his gun, as a russian boy soldier tries to shoot him but his gun jams. An absolute belter of a final scene

In the 70s etc films seemed to divide between a bit of realism, and silly unrealistic rubbish with little in between. This is the more realistic type.

It's funny how leaders have an aura. You could easily imagine Coburn as a gritty leader, and as even a PM, but not ... Robin Williams :)
