Too late for that, Ive told them i dont have one in the phone call, my records are spot on, done daily. Just concerned i have done the writing down allowance correct.

Why not just ask them if your calculation is right or not? It was common years ago for people to bring their records to the tax office and they helped. I brought info into the tax office here in Ireland for the last two years and did tax returns in the tax office (personal tax return for someone else). If you have it printed out, with lots of supporting documents, they take fright, agree something, and go back to gossiping. I called in at 08:30 on a Monday morning.
I was a Chartered Accountant (in industry) retired about 10 years back. In my early 20s I did lots of menial personal and company tax returns / correspondence. As long as you are working with them you will be alright. No need for an accountant imo if you have half a clue. |
