Fantastic film.

the film kind of stops about 2/3 through the first of two books and makes out he's an old man when he escapes when in fact he was in his 30s after being sent in his early 20s

Great film...stands the test of time.... wonderful performance by Steve McQueen as Henri Charrière ("Papillon"), and Dustin Hoffman as Louis Dega.

Papillon has become regarded as a classic adventure film. Several critics suggest the film is McQueen's best performance.




Dega: Remember what the chicken said to the weasel?

Papillon: If he was a healthy weasel, the chicken didn't get a chance to say anything
