In Waitrose's giveaway magazine Pippa Middleton gives us advice on running and keeping fit. You do wonder what are her qualifications and how much the sister of the future queen was paid.

She is paid so people like the OP will pick up the Waitrose magazine. Same with all celebs.

The best celeb column from a few years back was Zoe Ball on cosmetics in the Guardian. Radio One DJ = beautician, apparently. Each week she'd review some mega-expensive slap whose makers, perhaps by coincidence, had bought advertising space in the paper.

But Zoe did not know or understand the rules of the game, so a lot of the time she'd be gushing over the product and then advise readers to buy some cheap equivalent from Boot's and use that instead.

Most 'celebs' are paid to endorse products on social media.

Even the ones that don't get paid want to get on the gravy train which is why most celebs practise that odd style of speech where they give the brand name of everything they mention.

The Wimbledon Tennis Championships haven't been the same since Pippa wasn't seen luxuriating in the Royal Box and enjoying some rich;deserved hospitality.

Not only is this laughable, it's downright irresponsible.  As an experienced distance runner and running coach, I know that there is a lot of awful advice from people who have neither the qualifications or experience to recommend what people should be safely doing in terms of their personal fitness and nutrition.

You wouldn't expect health tips from anyone other than a doctor, so why should it be OK for some "celeb" who's done a couple of 10k jogs to give out advice on running and keeping fit.  There are plenty of people who train for years to qualify as coaches, physios or dieticians etc; why aren't they approached to give out their advice considering they are best placed to do it?

It's like asking Joe Hart for his advice on hairdressing.

I think they should bring back Treasure Hunt with Pippa running in front of the cameraman.

I've emailed Waitrose asking if they can let me know Pippa's qualifications to give out personal fitness and nutrition advice.

She reminds me a lot of the prophet Mohammed. Best viewed from behind.
