Caps are nothing new: salary caps, benefit caps, donation caps, baseball caps, even back-to-front baseball caps, there's a cap for everything nowadays.
But should pasta get a cap? It's just so confusing with all the shapes and varieties. There's penne, spaghetti, rigatoni, vermicelli, conchiglie, macaroni, armoniche, and that's just the one's at Aldi ffs. Gawd help the average middle-aged betfair forum punter if he was to walk up a Waitrose aisle. They'd probably have to invent a new medical condition called choice phobia or something. It's just all too much.
What will happen next if this disease is allowed to spread? Canneloni, penne rigate, tortiglioni, lasagne sheets, biciclette, that's what, and it has to be capped, now imv.
There's probably an engineer at Mueller foods production engineering working right now on customised pasta. Let's say your wife is called Sam, and her favourite animal is the red squirrel and her birthday is next month. In a couple of years you'll be able to order a personalised present of 500g of farfalle engraved with the letters S A and M, some pasta squirrel shapes, along with a jar of red pesto with a 'happy birthday from' label.
The chicks will love it. And it might get you laid if you're the giver. But surely the mental health of the choice phobic betfair male who eats his pasta in front of the computer has to come first.

Did you know that every pasta shape has a number? Everyone knows that Spaghetti is 12 but Fetuccia is more complicated at 150. I prefer this system but it can be difficult for shop staff to understand especially in Tesco.

This pasta business In the early days just a few were taken into the stores. Now, thanks to government policy it has invaded the stores, taking up space that good English food should occupy. And there is a lot of them compared to just a few English varieties. Should not be allowed and no more should be allowed in!

They are even importing it from Holland. I was walking down the supermarket aisles the other week and saw pasta dutchie upon the left hand side.
