perhaps they are not now since the factory closed a couple of years ago, but they used to be made at Ashby de la Zouch at the United Biscuits plant. A mate of mine's wife used to be a boss there, and they used to be crapping themselves when they knew the M&S inspectors were visiting as they were so strict. All of M&S's biscuits were made there as were the McVities range and KP nuts.
