they recommended starting kids out eating allergens while a toddler. Shouldn't they recommend the mother eats the nuts and a wider range of foods while pregnant. I seem to remember them saying pregnant mothers should eat oily fish for omega 3 - as this would boost IQ of their babies. The baby develops and gains a lot of its immunity from the mother in the womb.
Possibly, but it likely all goes out the window if the baby’s born by C-section as the baby gets masses of its immunity from passing put through the birth canal. With C-sections becoming ever more popular babies are being born with too few gut bacteria to protect them from allergies. It also puts them at greater risk of developing IBS, obesity and other complaints later.
