In the extended clip he has a go at it from the kerb side a few times, then goes off and comes back with a bigger brick, with that result. I think the Merc's patience had ran out by then.
![]() There' a clip on youtube somewhere of a reporter trying to show how easy it is to break into a car, he has a number of attempts with a hammer and fails miserably, then eventually manages .... and cuts his hand ;) |

guinness2dear, I have to tell you this story which is from 1985 give or take a year either way.
My Dad's mate came over to go to Cheltenham having never left his village before to our knowledge and he stayed with us for a few days. They went to the local pub which was a Toby carvery as well. Anyway, Paddy (that really was his name) went to queue up for his roast beef dinner and got a tray as you do and started loading the tray up with about 17 roast spuds, no plate of course just a tray, 6 spoons of cabbage, God only knows how many Yorkshire puds and various other sides including 5 bread rolls. So, he gets to the bloke who carves the beef and so stunned was he at what was before him he just put a half a dozen slices of roast beef on the tray as well. my Dad and everyone else in the queue was in absolute fits of laughter, Dad actually had tears running down his cheeks when Paddy then proceeded to flood his tray with gravy ![]() So Paddy sits down and starts tucking into his carvery tray of goodies which I'me guessing would have easily fed a family of 4 completely oblivios. It was just priceless comedy. |

No doubt the mash was partaken as well g2d, Paddy left no culinary stone unturned that day.
It's just a great memory that I have of Dad who was laughing so much I though his sides were going to burst. Thought you would like that story and I'm sure you remember Sound Man as well as I do. |
