I have a Samsung notebook, just over 2 years old, and the CD burner seems to have packed up on me? No matter what program I use it goes through all the processes of burning an audio CD but when I try to play it the CD player doesn´t recognise it.

I tried using a CD cleaning disc today but it made no difference...

I used a windows hardware problems diagnose tool yesterday and it said there were no problems

Regular CDs still play no problem.

Any ideas?

Which CD Player? Does the one that burned it recognise it?
I'm pretty sure some real CD players don't recognise all burned CDs, they might read a CD-R but not a CD-RW etc.

I once bought a pile of burnable DVDs and didn't realise my player only worked with DVD+R not DVD-R (maybe other way round), they work differently, and even then it was picky about the brand :(

Samsung notebook and Samsung Home Cinema system. No not even the notebook could recognise it.
