No mate, my Mum died last week so am busy sorting out stuff. Cheltenham is hard work to go to anyway, much prefer to watch at home.

Slippy, my condolences to you and yours.

Going back to the less important matter of the race, yes it was indeed extraordinary. The winner was backed at 999/1 with around 55 quid or so matched, and the horse that finished 3rd traded at 1.01 and above for many many thousands of pounds.

In past days, that winner would have surely traded for much bigger amounts when there were more people betting in the special trading rooms. The 1000 Layers got off comparatively lightly.

Sorry to hear about your mum slippy.

I backed Out Now today and just seen the race. I wouldn't mind but I backed the John Quinn 4 year old that stopped on the run in last month.

Sorry to hear your sad news Slipps, wish you all the very best.

As for the race I had the winner & the Fav who somehow managed to finish third  & I still do not know how in a rev forecast.

One of the most crazy things about a crazy race is that the second and third horses managed to fit in a bit of a punch-up after the last fence, just before they went past the stopping leader before the line.

I'd guess she had a great life and that it will be celebrated by the extended family.  I'm sure it will be a great wake.

My mum reached 95 a few weeks ago.  Suspect she's been planning my funeral.  I hope there will be fireworks.
