Like Water Colour Challenge Upgraded, but without Hannah (I'm bored shoiteless by crap paintings but have to pretend I like them) Gordon. Not bad fer Sunday Tea Time. Thought they were spot on chucking the one out they did.

the former police artist was pretty useless too - no wonder those police sketches looked nothing like the suspects if he was anything to go by

I have recorded this programme. I find it very relaxing watching people paint. So do I Diva although I get a wee bit concerned when the wife is up on the ladders doing the ceiling. |

I liked the Matisse-like interior in the first round, good use of colour. The two with the grey figures (statue and armour?) had some merit but the rest... some room for improvement there.

I'm just watching this. It's not a patch on Hannah Gordon's series.
The judges are being too critical. It is soul destroying for the contestants. Aww, Richard's little face when they picked holes in his painting. I din't like this at all. All their paintings are lovely. They should be very proud of themselves. |

George and Francis had more than a bit in common imo.
Stubbs' choice of a horse being mauled by a lion as a subject must have come from the same sort of experience as inspired some of Bacon's grotesque images. And in their own ways neither man's portraits ever suggested people at peace with the world. |
